“I would highly recommend the Mindful Medics course as a gift to oneself: to be a thriving healthcare professional and not burnout, especially in these challenging times. I have been using the self-compassion break when I’m particularly triggered with strong emotions at work. I also really benefit from using the 5 senses practice while driving to work instead of mentally going through my to do list, this helps me to arrive in a more relaxed mental state, ready for the day ahead. I believe that the combination of mindfulness and self-compassion theory with guided meditation practice alongside didactic practices, breakout groups and inquiry that is weaved within the course can help us all tap into the inner resources we each have to allow us to be with the pain and suffering; both personal and that of our patients”
